Professor @ursus- this is what we call cognitive dissonance.
Not new to leasing means he read an ad or two and a post here.
Should know that good MF = buy rate and best MF = buy rate - MSD. Please go easy on the newJedi - lots to learn he hasâŚ, and I am sure he did not realize that his insurance on the M3 CS will be 300+
This is mildly hilarious, to the leasehackr pros dishing out generic MF rules/logic, passing it off as they got a degree in leasing from Harvard.
My question was specific to the F80 M3 CS, asking around if there was a certain MF threshold/floor across the board for these since only a few hundred made it state-side and less than half of those were leased out. Considering itâs a demo vehicle as well.
Appreciate the concern (or hate) on my monthly insurance payments, which I understand would be more than a lot of your monthly lease payments.
the buy rate for all BMWs is the same regardless of model unlike some other brands. To answer your question, itâs .00128 and dealers will mark this up while discounting the car more just so that unsuspecting customers look solely at the the discount % / $.
I havenât seen an m3 cs new or demo in months on the east coast. There are a few m4cs in the $114+ range still at dealerships around here but they arenât aggressive which is why they still have these.
Iâm posting a white 440i xdrive msport coupe in a few if you want to take a look.
Thanks OP for the insight on the MF, good to know itâs not model dependent.
The M3 CS is indeed not in the NE and is in Cali, might have to let it sit for longer before the guy actually starts dealing.
Took a look at the spreadsheet, and thanks again for the heads up on the incoming 440. Will send you a message as I need to get into something this week.
Almost all tristate dealers have received at least 1 2020 M4 CS in stock. Most priced around $106k pushing up to $114k.
Almost none will entertain a conversation to lease for right now. Some 2019 M4 CSâs sitting for over a year on the east coast (SC, FL) and they are looking to finance/balloon as well.
Is there any sentiment or leverage to use the outgoing F82 body as a negotiation tactic?
Iâm not sure if his have it, but it is available as an option. Mine has wood trim, but it is a high MSRP ($75k)
No, dealers really donât care about upcoming models (especially considering that we donât have a release date, or production pictures or anything).
