Well it is the difference between engine sound and fuel economy.
RAM V8 is 17 mpg
RAM V6 diesel is 25 mpg. The diesel sounds like a diesel but tows just as much as the V8 Hemi.
So I don’t get the nice engine sound but I get around $20 in my pocket every time I fill up
Also depends upon the Cab size. If you can get away with an extended/quad Cab it’s quite a bit cheaper. Silberados/Sierras with crew cabs are easily into 400/mo.
Oh for sure, I’d gladly take the diesel 6. I meant the normal v6. Those are boring. V8 would be first choice but diesel definitely has its benefits
Well you know where to come if you wanna a RAM diesel lol
these dealers in town are a hoot. wouldn’t give me the MF/Residual numbers and then said what do we have to do to get you in this car today? i said you have to GIVE ME THE NUMBERS and they said well a dealership is more than just about the price. haha these guys are too funny. after a lot of annoying back and forth the best i could get them down to was 0 down 300 for 36/10 on a silverado all star v8 msrp 45 and the other dealer had a base model sierra with the elevation package msrp 43 for around the same price. and that was with $3000 in gm card savings. the one place admitted they couldn’t touch the price of the place i’m calling tomorrow so hopefully i’ll have better luck there.
playing games with customers is so old fashioned. everything is available online these days, who are you trying to fool? is that what they have to do to make a buck? the price is the price and if you can’t stand by your price then i’m going somewhere else. you can shake my hand and offer me coffee but if your price sucks it doesn’t make me want to buy a car from you. pathetic
But you knew that right. Dealers have there own drama school replete with bad acting and cheesy lines.
Shameless Plug alert:
Lease transfers work great. No fuss, no muss, just numbers …
Is that 300/mo a double cab?
@vhooloo do you do lease transfers? I’m still new to the site.
I have a RAM 2016 I wouldn’t mid transferring. But in general, I was saying lease transfers either from hackr to hackr or via swapalease can be fairly straightforward and advantageous.
Haha those badger commercials are great. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle
Lol, got it. The shameless plug alert threw me off.
The salesperson probably couldn’t tell you the MF, RV, etc… because they didn’t know or understand. They probably just told you what the sales manager said. You know, when the salesperson says “I don’t know if we can go that low, but I’ll go check.”
this is probably correct. when you start using math the salesperson usually gets a glazed look in their eyes and then says “let me check with our sales manager/finance guy”
