New to leases and found this site and started playing with the calculator- looking at different makes of SUV’s but my wifes favorite is the Lexus TX but i dont think she will like it enough to keep long term. So these are the numbers i am using in the calculator and want to try sending to dealerships to do negotiations outside of the dealership. Cant stand being at a dealership
Thanks i will change that number in the calculators to 9% (havent looked if i have any local that pushes it higher). Any of the other numbers look off? I’m running the same calculator essentially for Jeep and Acura as well. Want to be as accurate as possible
Like @trism said, if you can, you should consider doing MSDs. I did them when I leased a GS350 F Sport back in 2014. It’s a great way to reduce your payment, without putting money down. I would just do the first payment at signing and everything else as MSDs. At the end of the lease that money is returned to you.
I dont see any incentives really for the lexus but not really sure where to look . New to this. With MSD’s i will still have to pay all the dealers fees , tax etc up front plus the msds money?
MSD = Multiple Security Deposit, 1 is equivalent to 1 payment (rounded up).
It works like you’d expect a security deposit to work, you pay it upfront and get it back at the end. In exchange you get reduced finances charges. The deal itself changes in that you get a reduced money factor (it’s reduced by each MSD up to the max).
It isn’t always worthwhile… like if the MF is already almost zero, but look at the return (which is untaxed) and compare it to what the money would otherwise be doing after paying any taxes on the gain.
It’s better to just buy it and trade it in after 3 years. Tx350 hold their value I saw the base model here in Florida with around 30k miles and there still asking $55k before tax and fees while the new one out the door is $62k
Here is a deal I got for my parents but that was in December. Rates, rv, etc are different now but gives you a data point. MSDs on Lexus’ are really beneficial, more than that of the MSD programs on other brands. I’d highly consider it. These hardly ever have incentives on them so it’s a matter of driving the sell price down to get any kind of deal.
