Alone at work getting my “in office day”, and laughing my ass off at this comment.
I admitted to fumbling a $572 effective i7 xdrive60, but you win man! Care to elaborate even a tiny bit? Totally understand if you don’t want to relive the moment.
Congratulations!

You need to post a picture of it when it gets here. My wife had a 2022 Cayman GTS that we traded in a few years ago, and after reading this post, got the bug for another Porsche sports car. I asked my salesman to find it for me (was traded and sold again through my local Porsche dealer), and see if the new owner was ready to trade it in. Sadly, the second owner didn’t take quite the same care with it that I did. It was totaled last year, and the salvage was purchased and sent to the Ukraine.
Below msrp on a base or S is the norm for any decent LH nowadays. The recent price increases year over year have gotten to a ridiculous valuation where the gt3 is now in the same price range as a lambo or Ferrari. Porsche has destroyed their brand with the push for EVs and refuses to sell and make what people actually want (their ICE sports cars).
The brand is doing just fine.
Porsche agrees, blame EV’s for everything. I just blame @z0lt3c for landfilling everything anti-EV.
Keep kidding yourself. The 911 and previous 718 buyers don’t care that Porsche sellers a Taycan, just like they didn’t care about the Macan or Cayenne. The only impact it has on them is that they may need to purchase one or two to get GT car allocation.
Porsche continues to sell every 911 they can make. Even with the price increases. Their financial troubles stem from one-time charges to bail out Varta, their battery supplier, and taking their mainstream cars the EV route too quickly when China pivoted to cheaper local brands.
Update the ICE Macan and maybe even bring in a smaller cheaper soccer-dad/mom SUV and they’ll be just fine.
They sure care when Porsche dealers tell someone they have to take a Taycan or two to get in line for a GTS build.
Nope, the S is actually selling better than the GTS. You might get 2 or 3% from a dealer in the middle of nowhere and then have to ship you car. If I’m spending $200k, I’m probably going to buy from my least expensive local dealer and ask them to throw in some service or something rather than buying across the country and potentially having issues. 10% offand this would be a different conversation, and at 2% + covered shipping, it’s really not worth the hassle
