My first suggestion would be a Lexus ES330.
Note that every used car buyer in that price range is looking for Camry, Accord, etc. so deals are harder to find. And not all Camcords are reliable anyway.
This thread was started during the pandemic and used car peak valuations. Many of those $10k cars are sub $6000 now.
