I wasn’t trying to say that leasing would ever be a good choice. Rather that if you were between financing for 84 months while paying $15k over MSRP or leasing for $1k a month, the later option might be better since at least at the end of the lease term you can walk away and start again.

You cannot reason with a talking parrot as there are only so many canned responses and they usually fall only into bashing of any Audi/Volvo, TCO of purchasing and keeping the same car for 20+ years and asking if the original poster looked at a slightly used Kia Rio.
