Need help trying to figure out what to do next - for the first time ever I’m having difficulty figuring it out. Currently in a 2024 BMW iX that needs to go back at the end of August, but can extend to the end of October.
BMW has discontinued the iX and replaced it with the iX3 and iX5 but the iX5 won’t be available until next year and therefore not in time. Don’t love the idea of getting into a smaller SUV as a family of 5 but open to it. The problem is they’re asking for over $1,100 per month which is more than what I’m currently paying for a vehicle with a 30k higher MSRP so I can’t bring myself to do it.
Looking at Audi Q6 etron but for some reason there isn’t any inventory. Would love to get a Rivian but their pricing is insane right now. Would even been open to getting the R1T or taking over a lease from anyone for the R1T.
Just not sure what to do. Seems like EV SUVs are hard to come by right now.
Yea seems like I’m going to have look at those brands as well. Just crazy how expensive or how many discontinued models there are for most of the brands.
I went through this same predicament not that long ago.
I eliminated the Vistiq because no CarPlay. Eliminated EX90 because of the documented sunroof issue on MY25 and everything being built into the screen.
Couldn’t justify the price for a Lucid Gravity but I also didn’t really want to gamble on Lucid.
Test drove an EV9 GT Line and that car is absolute shit so wrote that one off.
Went across the street to a Hyundai dealer and test drove the Ioniq9. Was pretty impressed and honestly considered it for a while. Has a nice interior, is well-appointed, and has a decent third row. I was a little uneasy about buying a first model year Hyundai because of all the horror stories (kids being crushed and killed in rear seats, known Ioniq battery issues, etc).
Ultimately couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on a 3-row and just bought a CPO iX and will try again in a year or two.
I’m in the same boat, have an ID.4 due back beginning of November. Starting to check marketplace and look into some of the cars mentioned above, but not seeing much for NY state.
I see that Vistiq did a recall for the third row power folding seats. It was a bad idea to have power folding third row. I don’t trust any of these vehicles after this Palisade incident
You could get into a the Kia or Hyundai for around $600 a month or finance a used ix (with a balloon loan you could also hand the keys back) for about the same since they’re going for under 40k used.
I guess so. These days I see so many unnecessary items as standard, so not really sure which trims have these. At least for Vistiq, it seems dealers are disconnecting the power folding wiring to disable it until a fix is available. I hope that’s a permanent way to disable it
