I see that you’re in Cook County. Will you be registering the car in Chicago? Otherwise there is an additional use tax of 9.5% that is levied on the monthly payment.

I will be registering in Schaumburg area. So it’s 8.25%. And I’m not doing any MSDs

Your discount isn’t bad for a new car in the Chicago area. They marked up your MF, it should be .00137. It raises your payments by roughly $25 per month. Try negotiating that down to base.

Be thankful you didn’t register in Chicago proper or you’d be looking at the additional use tax! Illinois is just ridiculous.
