Need advise for new lease

hello,
I’m a newb here. I’ve never leased a car or know anyone who leased one before. My family keeps telling me to just purchase a car but i know cars depreciate quite a lot just by driving off the lot and i don’t want to be stuck with a car for …don’t know how long. I’m not car-savvy and the only things i know with cars are turn it on and drive and fill up the gas tank when low. I can’t tell when my tires are flat or got hit by a nail so I don’t want to have to worry about the mechanics of a car so used cars are a no-no for me.
I don’t want to “inherit” lease from another leaser since i don’t know where the car have been or what had been done to it. Basically, I just want a car that would get me to be worry-free for 2-3 years.
I don’t drive often, just weekends and odd days or so. I also don’t want to tie down a lease for so long, 2 years or less is ideal but i’m willing to do 3 years as well.
I live in NYC but can travel to NJ if necessary. What is the lowest possible lease i can get? since i’ve never leased before or know anyone who leased, competition rebates are no-go for me.
Thanks.

Keep in mind that you may get hit with exuberant charges upon lease return. I know the look of NYC cars’ bumpers and dings everywhere.
