FYI, with this month’s terms, a new $123,000 one is $1,244 before tax and drive-offs when it’s 10% off, so you’re going to have a hard time moving this with $6,000 due to you. ---

Are you asking me? Depends on the dealership, but assuming a $925 acq. fee and $400 doc. fee, $1,325 + first month before registration and tax. Anyone who takes over this car will have to pay registration and tax anyway. The amount obviously varies but would be the same if it’s a monthly tax state. The amount due up-front only changes more if it’s an up-front tax state. Even with NYC tax, it’s about $8,000 at signing ($4,900 of tax) plus first month and fees. It’s $1,372 with $3,800 at signing, for comparison - $2,200 less than this deal. ---

So there you go - same monthly with $2,200 less at signing for a brand-new car, and that’s with NYC tax. OP’s $6,000 at signing doesn’t even consider tax or registration. ---

If the new potential lessee is an anxious person it could possibly help but what would go wrong that pictures cant show and warranty wouldnt cover? The new lessee can request to have it checked out of good will but the time should be fairly compensated imo. Then again, if it worries them that much, probably better to just go to a dealer and pay the premium. ---

It will be hard to find a dealer willing to do an inspection nowadays. They don’t like to take the responsibility. ---

Not that I am an advocate for needing this, but a full price oil change at the dealer will almost always trigger an inspection of stuff they can add to your bill. This is a pretty good proxy for a pre-purchase inspection, at least for newish cars under warranty.
