Sorry if this question was brought before, I am new to the forum.
I understand the appeal of MSD’s , but iisn’t too risky to put so much money down as a security deposit ? My problem is that for luxury cars (BMW, MB, Lexus) the wear-and-tear inspection can go way overboard , i.e. supposedly excessive wear and tear that is not covered by the insurance can serve as justification for the manufacturer to actually collect your security deposit.
The luxury brands are actually the most lenient on the end of lease inspections. Additionally, the normal wear and tear allowances are quite generous so there is nothing to worry about. I have not heard of any problems that have happened with not getting MSDs back because of this.

Man, that was hard to type on a phone.
All while doing 75 mph on the freeway!!
They’ll never look for extra damages to charge against your MSD’s but you should certainly protect your money!
We’re just now rolling out the online wear and tear waiver on our site. check it out for quotes. Don’t buy from a dealer at a 2000% markup.
it can even be bought up to 90 days after you have leased your new car.
