Hi All.

Curious if anyone on LH who is in MI has lemoned a car. Specifically an MB. EQS will be in service 30 days this Sunday.

I would start with MB customer service to have it reviewed for a buyback.

Would you do it before the 30 day mark or immediately upon? I don’t want to be in this loaner another 30 days. It’s terrible.

Talk to an LL attorney. It should be free.

Difference between buyback (simply return the car) and getting LL money back could be huge

MB is notorious for being hard to get $$ out of with lemons. Usually you just get a buyback. That being said, you should consult with a lemon law attorney. It should be free but they’d be best situated to advise you

Buyback in this sitch would be likely payments made minus a per mile deduction facilitated through the tight penny pinching ass 3rd party they handle lemon law claims through

So the buyback just means I get my money back or will they replace the vehicle? I got a great deal so obviously I want another vehicle not my money back

You’re not gonna get a replacement 9/10 - talk to your lawyer but most benz lemons I’ve seen they fix the issue and give a hush money payment + NDA, or a full buyback - rarely a capital swap (replacement) in recent times. I don’t think I’ve heard of a capswap since like '21-'22?

GM does cap swaps, lots of people leased bolts that got swapped for like Tahoes and stuff, but apples to oranges here.

Sorry for the blunt advice in the negative to what you were looking for. Still worth asking/looking.

I would not be happy with money back. I got a great deal on that EQS and to get my money back and have to lease another car would leave me in a worse position, not the same. I appreciate the feedback.
