Mercedes Lease Credit now $11,500 7/9/25

Are you sure? After someone above confirmed it was untaxed, I checked a few broker offers and the $11,500 was showing in untaxed incentives. I found it confusing as I originally assumed the $11,500 was taxable.

Wouldnt this be state specific?

For example PA doesn’t have taxable rebates.
I see on some brokers under taxed rebates.

It doesn’t say dealer cash or similar
I know it matters for 24 months . It like $1k less or more of saving.

Related… rebates are taxed based on where the car is registered. I got my last EQS in PA but was taxed on the rebates since DC taxes them.

No idea on if the extra incentive this month is taxed or not … just thought I’d add that detail in.

Agree. I meant registration.
Either add $4K is taxable or not if there is a great deal on the horizon, $20/m ( tax saving) should NOT be a dealer breaker for me.

Are there any added incentives with Sam’s Club?

Yes it is, but previously the lease cash was taxable in States that tax. The MBFS dealer cash was not taxable in any State, because the dealer was end recipient.

When the $4,000 was added, a dealer above (@derekoh1991) mentioned this new $11,500 is untaxable. If it’s truly untaxable, it would be that way in all States. If it’s subject to State rebate tax rules then each State will be different, and this would indicate the customer as end recipient, not the dealer.

To summarize all the questions about rebates and if they are taxed

  1. $2000 dealer cash goes out of sales price so it’s not taxed

  2. $500 for fleet either via Aaa, Sam’s club, PenFed etc for both GLC 350e and GLE 450e goes from sales price as well so no tax.

  3. $11,500 rebate is taxable in NY/NJ/Ct but not in PA. Other states as per how they tax regular customer facing rebates.

  4. Loylaty valid if your lease is ending by 03/31/2026. Loyalty/Reignite is taxable. $2k for GLC and $3k for GLE. Pull ahead is for 3 months so any additional payments left for outgoing car will be due or can be rolled in next lease.
If your current car is due by Dec 2025 wait till Sep and hope the programs remain same.

Thank you for clearing that up, very helpful. Also in line with what many of us would have expected based on the previous program.

Would lease loyalty or lease pull-ahead or lease reignite incentives still apply if the insurance company paid off the existing lease due to a total loss?

On Penfed I am seeing
Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class
350W/350W4/450W4/450E4/580W4/53W4/63W4S $2,500
*Amount available on Lease, MBFS Finance or Non-MBFS Fin

I am assuming the 2500 includes the 2000 lease cash, so it’s just 500 on top?

That is correct.

Everyone qualifies for the 2k. The last $500 needs the unique code tied to your name which you can get through any of PenFed, aaa etc.

When does the lease expire on the contract?

Would I clarify for Reignite bonus
If I started lease in 2023 and buy out in 2024?

Not sure, but i think it still have 20 more months.

Is fleet still available through penfed?

iirc it is VIN specific. Ask the broker and/or delaers

You can always work with a broker by browsing the Marketplace.

I am seeing $2500 in incentives when I log into my Penfed account.

EDIT: Nvm, I am now seeing @HN308’s earlier response that Fleet is only an additional $500 on top of the $2k lease cash. .

You can sign up for a Penfed account by depositing at least $5. Then, wait at least 60 days to generate a code for the Fleet incentive. There is no workaround to bypass the waiting period.

You can read more in the thread below.

Maybe it is region specific?
