Mercedes Design Landfill

Making this thread in advance so @z0lt3c has a place to put comments about Mercedes’ upcoming trash designs. The Faberge Egg that @Dany1122 wanted to dispose of via snowy offramp was not the low-point for Benz design. Folks in Stuttgart want to go lower.

So having some Vision GT concept in the Justice League movie wasn’t enough for them. Now they want to go full Batman. If Benz design language tries to cater to Batman, expect some mega landfill design-junk coming out in the next few years.

Jokes on them, the real life Batman already has an EQS AMG and BMW i7 and Escalade IQ.

The more I see this stuff, the more I wonder if there is anyone sane working in any major design/marketing arm of consumer products

I’m the one driving around in a bucktooth IX and jellybean EQS so cosmetic appearance clearly does not rank very high on my priority list. That said, I really dig the new “2027 MB GLC350 4matic SUV w/ EQ technology” design, as long as I can black out the chrome. The model naming has gotten bit absurd.

Millennials now fill all these positions.

It’s the same people who thought the Bud Light ad was a good idea. Millenials who need to destroy all that was before and “re-imagine” everything. Luckily GenZ has their heads on straight for the most part and when they get into those positions things will get back to normal.

They single-handedly have ruined the movie industry as well.

I’m a millennial, so not sure if I agree with this statement. I think there are plenty of millennials who don’t find this appealing in any way, shape, or form.

The fellow Michael Schiebe that is quoted in the article I linked (the one that says Batman is too dangerous to date your daughter and Batman is a dangerous son-in-law) is a Millennial.

Conclusion… M3WC is just blaming everything on Millennials since he doesn’t like Michael Schiebe.

Not every millenial ruins things. But everyone who ruins up things is a millenial. How’s that? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hopefully, they are not pulling inspiration from the 1960s Batman

Porsche is doing something right; since Ben Affleck doesn’t have a 911.

Ben Affleck is Gen X, but he ruined Batman.

Huh… guess they are going full Batman.

which is odd since women influence 85% of new car sales and they tend to think Batman is kinda a jerk.

The 15% of car sales that women don’t influence are Porsche 911’s. @Jac_Le
