Mercedes:Can't seem to make the numbers crunch

Hi all,
Test drove a MB GLA250 AWD today and really liked it. I got some numbers from them but can’t seem to calculate the same lease payment estimate that they did.

MSRP: $41,255.00
Dealer NET price: $39,173
Costco discount $750 off NET so
Adjusted price = $38,423 (Total Purchase = $38,423)
Dealer Prep fee = $389
Tax = $1.37 (it really says this)
Non-tax fees = $289
Thus, Net Balance = $39,102.37

RV = 61% for 36m/10k mi
MF = .00132 (this says it already includes autopay option selected)
Sales Tax = 6% (and only on lease amount).

PLEASE someone, share with me the #'s you get.
I am calculating $368.26 as the depreciation expense/mo ($13,257.45 total) and
the finance charge as $83.94/mo for a total of $452.20/mo including tax. This is WITH MSD=10

Their numbers are quite a bit higher than that.

You’re not taking advantage of the 10 MSDs?

Yes, I am definitely going to do that! But even without that I can’t seem to get the numbers to work.

Is your dealer Net price your Sale price before rebates?

Yes. The only discount they say I would be qualified for would the the $750 off for Costco.

Did you account for acq fee?

This is not too far off what you get.

I figured the acq fee was the $389 dealer prep?
I’m going back by tomorrow so he can answer my questions and so that I can take the car for a few days to try out. I guess he thinks i really need it?!

I would have trouble justifying the 450 monthly for this vehicle. Have you tried getting a bigger discount off sales price? Also did you know this is the same vehicle as the infiniti Qx30 which leases quite well?

Agree with @vhooloo. Also, MB does not include free maintenance, which is expensive. Mostly that and fake leather stopped me from leasing C-class.

Acq fee is different from dealer prep fee. Acq fee should be $795.

I drove the Infiniti QX30 first and was surprised to like the GLA better. I agree that the maintenance is a true downside and a holdback for me. The $450 is better than the numbers I have from the dealership; this lowest I have there is $520, and that’s with $1000 down (not including the MSD IIRC, though). STILL, when I calculate without MSD and with no money down, I get $500/mo.

If anyone has tips on getting the sales price LOWER with Mercedes, I’m all ears.

Yeah take your quote to another dealer or save time by emailing dealers within a certain distance and see who will beat it.

The E300 which is around 15 to 20 k more expensive can be had for around 420 a month, so you need to work on lowering your payment for the gla. Start by asking for a better discount.

Dealer net price of 36k should be doable.
