Also, is there any warranty company you are aware of that would help cover costs such as transmission issues and etc?

Unfortunately only Carmax seems to do the warranty thing. There was a CPO CLS that could get the MB extended warranty, but almost all CLS in the good model years can’t get CPO.

The buyer typically also overpays on the purchase price there. The true cost of maxcare is a lot higher than the line item

That’s a lot of car for $22k.
Until you remember that it’s almost 11 years old and it’s German. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen as you brace yourself for the mechanic’s verdict.

I’ve had my run with ‘German out of warranty turbo V8s’… My last W222 S550 was trouble free for the two years I had it. It’s all relative though.
I found a w213 E63 wagon I might pull trigger on but scared of no warranty. My heart really wants f90 m5 but I have x7 which is basically same crap.
I have a good connection on warranties so might need to ask if it’s worth getting something a bit older and slap warranty on vs something newer with warranty
I’ll trade in the GLE53 against it

They seem to have a common (expensive) rear main seal issue for some reason.
Yeah I had it on my cls63 but very slow leak
I have a 2018 wagon for sale with 4 year 55k mile warranty left if interested please pm me. car is going to BaT otherwise soon.

Mine was around $7,300 done at the benz dealer. Unfortunately if you are getting a w213 amg unless this had been done before plan on a good warranty purchase or have 5k insurance fund ready.
