Agreed.. actually want to buy and would def get warranties lol
Grounding my eqs next week
, getting GLC utlizing LAP program and want to hear from others about their experience.
When you grounded early eqs or any other MB product, did you perform any lease end inspection? 20 months ago when i grounded my first eqs and got another one no inspection was performed ( at lesst i did not get any report). The car was listed couple days later at the discounted price on the same dealer website.
BTW my eqs has ZERO scratches and is almost in the same shape when i took it 20 months ago.
The only thing that i am worry about are the tires . I have non OEM all season set with ~7/32 left on all of them, great tires btw. Not sure if that will be acceptable?

@holeydonut @djrabbi
TIA for any feedback
I think you’re asking the wrong people for advice on BenZ.
@djrabbi has a 100% lemonade rate on Benz.
My EQS grounding was the easiest experience ever since @oarfish18 sent a porter from the showroom to fetch the car and I didn’t even need an inspection to discover the 1,000 McDonald’s straws I had stashed away.
Grounding my Taycan was more annoying. Porsche’s inspection crew likes to take the tire depth gauge and tag it straight a wear bar in the tread. This gives the gauge a much lower depth reading than if they properly used the gauge anywhere else in the tread groove.
Before grounding I took a ton of photos and took my own depth reading with a newspaper date clearly shown. When Porsche asked me to pay for worn tires under 4/32 I had to send the pics in to PFS.
The bastard is putting his thumb on the scale literally and figuratively. Did you tell his managers that you were going to go public with this pic on X, etc? I’d inform Porsche corporate as well. Such a bush league move.
EDIT: Where’s the proof that he properly reset the gauge to zero before taking measurements as well? Old Soviet market trick that everyone knew lol. @Ursus
I still think that’s the cleanest service bay in the history of service bays. Like cleaner than my dentist’s office that’s for sure.
But no, I don’t think they have ASE certified mechanics doing lease return inspections. I just told PFS I disagreed with their tread measurement.
I am surprised more LH users don’t get conned out of new tires with this one simple trick though.
Dropped off 2 EQS in the past 2 months, both without pre inspection. Replaced 1 of them with GLC as well. Received return statement in a couple weeks for both of them. One of them with chrome trim broken and scratches was charged $400, covered with the $500 waiver with a new lease. The other was no damage. Both statement show waiving of disposition fee.
Very sad to return the $309 per month EQS 580 SUV…
Now paying more than that on the GLC![]()
I have to return mine soon
thinking about buying a CPO.. how’s the GLC?
Got the GLC 350e, it’s not EQS 580 but I am only driving it 6 miles a day for the park and ride so it’s not too difficult to adjust. The drive is decent and range is great, I got 71 miles out of that battery. It’s weird driving in EV mode and you can still feel the gear shifting. Also got a EQE AMG SUV in March, of coz wife claimed that one…
You need a new dentist ![]()
Preferably with a valid American license that does not operate out of his garage.
And ADA membership ![]()
Those sound like high standards
. Here is a more affordable alternative in today’s environment:

Same requirements as the ABA for Volvo pin?

I went to test drive the Volvo xc90 t8 and the ex90 yesterday. The ex90 drives amazing but interior in both cars is so mid compared to EQS
or any Benz
Cliffy! Bonus points for finding a former Kings player from the Championship teams.
My EQS is up in a few months - I replaced 3/4 tires with cheaper ones when the tread got to low. Will Mercedes ding me for them?
All four tires have to match. I got dinged for non-matching tires.
It’s technically per axle need to match… I would regardless do all 4 for OCD purpose and potentially dinged
