Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 1

I have a 34" water clearance requirement unfortunately. I’m out.

Should be fine for soccer moms. We have eqb, we still can use it from philly to nyc or philly to dc. That’s with only estimated 220 miles range which is only 160-180 in real life.

Nevertheless, it’s a good step for MB, I hope to see GLE & GLS EQ.

Hi all, I found EQS 450 SUV I would like to buy but there is one small problem. The front grill is solid black. It does not have the small star grill pattern. When I ask the dealer, they say because of parts shortage, some time it happen.
I searched for picture of EQS in all other dealership and they all have star pattern grill. It seems to be very uncommon.
Has anyone seen or bought a Mercedes with solid black grill?
Thank you and appreciate your responses.

Mine has no pattern and I like it that way.

I actually saw it and there is even a mention of it on your windows sticker. Not a bug - feature.

Unless you are getting one, at which point yours will be $17k off.

Mine is without the star front too. Definitely due to a parts storage. It was for a short period of time a while ago… which probably means that’s a pretty aged unit. Build date on mine was 12/22. There was a $330 credit on the sticker for having it missing.

Ditto - Mine is also missing the star pattern, offset by a $330 credit on the window sticker.

Be glad it’s only missing star front. I was browsing 2022 EQB, it’s missing power seats & memory seats. LOL.

Is your an EQS SUV? Would you be able to DM a front grill view? Thank you.

At this rate, no fleet operator renting to consumers will touch an EV ever again. Unless a bigger pile of tax money props up the initial sale, and the government provided a hedge for the downside/losses on the assets.

I love EV, I will not rent one on a vacation or business trip. EV and its current infrastructure is just not a good fit for those when I can get an ICE, drive it to empty and get gas a station within 2-3 miles.

Bigger than they are already offering?

Also, is it possible to do an analysis based on how many ICE vehicles are being sold by Hertz and how many EVs. Similarly, what is the amount of miles they are usually selling these cars ICE vs EV.
Would really help knowing if Hertz actually lost money with EV rentals.

Way more money. It’s not like EV’s are going to sell at volume and at reasonable pricing based on their own merits.

Finally got my lemon EQS buyback done and check in hand. Total start to end took around 3 months.

Well, 2024s have only been out for a little while and there’s already 2025 order guides available for both Sedan and SUV. I expect production to start for each by July, sales by September. Wild.

Sedan:

SUV:

Some nice updates. Sedan gets the big battery (I expect rated range of 380-390 miles), choice of luxury grill or normal grill with sport steering wheel. Soft close doors standard, also digital key, carbon fiber trim, etc. etc. SUV finally gets the 22 inch wheels that were advertised at the launch years ago, and has the option for the full automatic doors.

Yeah a goodwill buyback is usually 30 days turnaround.

But now your former car has a lemon title, and some lawyers made money.

This is a goodwill buyback. Mercedes approved it in around 1.5 months, but took another 1.5 months for Sedgwick to get the money from Mercedes and schedule the return.

I’m already past 15 days on EQE in shop. Might be joining you soon as they are still trying to diagnose my issue.

How long was it in the shop for?
