Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 1

No, MB doesn’t use the camera for hands free driving. I imagine they’re working on something for it ala Cadillac Supercruise or BMWs newest highway assist in the 7 series and newer, but MB doesnt do that right now. Currently the cameras are used for four things:
-3D effect guage cluster adjusting how the 3D is based on your eye position
-advanced attention assist/drowsiness watch
-unlocking the user profile via facial recognition (car already has options for pin, fingerprint, or voice as standard)
-If optioned, 445 AR HUD uses the camera for the AR position based on your eye position

The cameras in the guages come as part of option 451 3D guage cluster on S Class, new 2024 E Class, and EQE models without hyperscreen or as part of PAG hyperscreen on EQE and EQS.

Haven’t taken delivery of the car because they said it’s in transit and they’ll get it next Monday. They also said I can cancel the deal once it gets here and if I don’t like it.

I’ve already given them my $11K. Was this a good deal? Should I keep it?

Alex was incorrent, the cameras in the 3D guage cluster have no effect on the semi autonomous driving currently, though it would presumably be simple for them to add that functionality.

By the way, has anyone tried for a deal on a 2024 yet? Curious what the market for them is, given in a lot of ways they’re quite improved vs 2023s.

Look what you all did to the EQS. :crying_cat_face:

I guess I’ll get one for $20-30k a lot sooner than I expected

Proud to be a contributor to the accomplishment :innocent:

My advice. Check the tires. Not sure why You did not go with 2 years. The payment should be lower IMO.
Going with 3 years, you may need 2 sets of new tires.
🫨
Also You will pay for 30k and maybe 40k miles service - not sure if anyone knows how much those would cost
Not sure about all fees but Your payment for 24 months would be around $662 with $2780 DAS plus MSDs.

Hey Folks. What the requirement is for minimum tire tread for MB CPO? Anyone knows?

5/32 is the magic number. That’s the minimum tread depth they need if you return a lease. And that’s the minimum tread depth if you bought a new CPO that passed inspection.

@Kevin_Kim i hope You will not need 3 set of new tires…

That was my concern too and that’s why I’ve asked them to check the tread on the tires when they get the car. They said they’d replace the tires before I take delivery if it’s not at an acceptable level and I can cancel the deal if it’s not to my liking.

Hope I just need 1 set of tires replaced in 2 years. Got to try to launch less.

I think my tires are fine after 16k miles of driving it. And I don’t plan on buying new tires.

What’s your first Audi that you’re going to get from your new dealership?

EQ EQ EQ EQ EQ

They told me there’s complimentary service for 2 years .on the car and that I’d turn it in before my 3rd year ends so I wouldn’t have to have any out of pocket service costs

Here’s my breakdown:

I updated the Calculator with 24 month terms and it comes out more expensive at $733/month w/$8,500 MSD instead of my 36 month at $722/month w/$8,000 MSD.

MSD savings are negligible with high yield savings account rates at the moment.

This is loaner and making 10k miles every year you will hit the following services:

  1. 20k miles free service in12 months from now.
  2. 40k miles service ( not free) in 3 years.
