Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 1

so MSRP and $10k rebates lol.

I haven’t reached out to any dealers yet. I will check out the marketplace. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I would suggest checking out some info about leasing.

Have you reached out to dealers with an offer? No one is going to put in the work for you.

If you are looking for a broker, check out the Marketplace section of the forum. FWIW, not too many brokers work with customers from MA. Fellow resident here.

What research have you done with regards to pricing?

What incentives do you qualify for?

There are lots of tips in this thread.

That’s a strong discount. Sedan or SUV?

What was the MSRP? $140k?

It was in the low 130k range

Local SoCal $899/24/10k deal on the SUV not that much better:

The $5k DAS does not include all the fees, etc and there is $10k MSD.

But I guess this is the start. If you can negotiate a discount off of MSRP, you can get into the lower payment people are posting. Other local dealers have similar deals but for $979 which are higher than brokers here.

Just go with a broker who will find the deal for you for a small charge.

An advertised deal isn’t something to even consider.

Agreed but I don’t remember seeing these ads until the LH EQS hacks.

And unlike national ads that many dealers will bait and switch on, these seem to be dealer generated because they are not the same terms locally.

laguna Niguel has been sending these for some time I believe. I just find OC dealers are not the best to work with, especially fj.

For those who got the SUV and think about installing a charger at home. I am happy to confirm you can fit 10 ft conduit in this beast :smile:

What are people using for insurance?

I’m looking through the lease, and it looks like the insurance requirements in section 19 are lengthy:

(a) liability insurance with limits of not less than $100,000 per person for bodily injury, $300,000 per accident for bodily injury and $50,000 per accident for property damage;
(b) collision insurance for the actual value of the vehicle with a deductible no higher than $2,500;
(c) comprehensive fire and theft insurance for the actual value of the vehicle and with a deductible no higher than $2,500; and
(d) uninsured motorist coverage as required by the state where the vehicle is registered;

The insurance policy must name Assignee as additional insured and loss payee and you must provide us with a copy of your policy. The policy must require the insurance company to notify us at least 30 days in advance of any changes in coverage or cancellation.

How strict is Mercedes with all of that? It looks like gap insurance (section 20) may be contingent on all of those section 19 requirements being satisfied.

Which of those requirements is atypical of a lease?

Oh I’m not saying the requirements are atypical. I’m just wondering how strict Mercedes is with compliance. I’m imagining a scenario where I give all that information to the insurance company and the insurance company screws one thing or another up. Anyway, it’s my first time leasing, so any tips are appreciated!

Fortunately, and I’ve never read through the Mercedes insurance requirements as shown in the contract, but that looks pretty typical. Maybe BMW has changed, but the last I checked a few years ago they require no more than a $1000 deductible. If Mercedes allows $2500, that could be a bonus and potential savings. Realistically, especially on a car like this, is anyone going to make a claim for $1000? The amount we would get nailed that renewal would be brutal.:triumph:

Your First Class Lease agreement requires these minimum coverages:

  • Bodily injury liability not less than $100,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence
  • Property damage liability not less than $50,000
  • Comprehensive and collision coverage for the actual cash value of the vehicle
  • $2,500 maximum allowed deductible

Speaking of insurance, do you guys normally do the max deductible allowed or is there a way to calculate the most cost effective deductible. I do $500 on every vehicle just because I’m dumb and lazy.

I do the same… I’d love insight on what’s better for out of pocket and practicality.

The emerald green is stunning. I wish more manufacturers would bring green back

Geico. That is really pricey.
