Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 1

My EQE SUV has charged flawlessly at EA, when the charger is working. I’ve dealt with my share of bad chargers, but when the charger is up my plug and charge works every time (and that’s >10 tries since I’ve had it for the last 3 months).

I’m not placing any blame on the vehicle but the word “flawless” is not one I generally associate with EA. It can definitely be a regional thing…

Maybe I’ll do it few months prior to lease ending cause I’ll be over miles.

They keep saying software issues everytime lol

Make sure to do it sooner than later. It takes like 6 months in Jersey. The Manufacturer has 3 months to respond and then if you go to arbitration it’s another 2 months.

I can’t stress enough - trying to get a buyback from MB-USA without involving lawyers is a win for everybody involved. If you hit the 30 days and it’s an obvious lemon case, the response from corporate should be more swift as a goodwill event. And money should arrive much sooner than if lawyers get involved.

I’ve never dealt with a lemon case with Mercedes. Only BMWs.

The dealer I got my EQS from has a loaner 450 SUV that they are looking to move:

  • $780/month before tax
  • $1,950 due at signing
  • 24/10 lease
  • Price includes PenFed/Sam’s Club, MSRP is $112.5k

I haven’t run the numbers but you can probably get below $700/month with MSDs and 7.5k mileage allotment. Dealer is located in Colorado but they will work with out of state customers. PM me if interested…

For California, the buy back value for lemon is sold price - (mileage when issue first happened / 120k * sold price) + stuff you incurred while it’s broken.

The slower they do the buyback, the more free mileage you get in continuing to drive the car I guess.

Sounds like a blowhard, I highly doubt Benz dealer n mechanic is that stupid to approve the lemon claims issue over battery charging rate.

Do I get to keep my loaner during a lemon case? What if the vehicle is fixed on let’s say, the 35th day?

Do I drive the vehicle while I wait for corporate to respond?

Official 30th day in the shop today, and shop is closed on Sunday. Time to shop for another car.

BMW i5 incoming…

If you’re in CA call Adam Zolonz. The best lemon law attorney. Don’t try to deal with corporate yourself.

Looks like mine is gonna be ready for pickup tomorrow. 3 weeks in the shop but apparently they got the software updates to go through over the weekend.

total days accumulated in service?

It was in for 21 days straight. I didn’t have any other issues leading up to this. I’m at 17k miles and approaching a year
