I get the feeling that they may have sold the car someone else or regretted the deal they gave me. I called MBFS and they have no record of my credit application from the dealer. Could this be a possibility.
Then something seems off. Just out of curiosity, what were details of the deal? How good was it?
The dealer told me yes but then I called MBFS and they have no record of me or my dad in the system and told me the dealer is the one who communicates that to me after the dealer told me to contact MBFS. I think the dealer may be pulling some shenanigans?
$120k MSRP EQS450+. 479 a mo, 3.7k down with 5500 MSD. In line with other deals I see on this forum.
So you have documentation that the credit was declined due to your age? If you have that it sounds like a great lawsuit. I say this not being a lawyer but I have been in finance for my entire career.
I don’t have anything - MB has provided me with zero proof of anything. Good point, however. The GM of the dealership told me that over the phone.
The insurance policy can be dated whatever day you are picking up the car and in the event that you need to cancel, you would get a refund. Just fyi for the future. If you are able to get approval on your own, I don’t know why your co-signer would impede the funding of the deal.
Why not post the contract here so experts can look at it? Also, have you contacted the broker?
Didn’t realize there was a broker. The story gets more and more interesting.
Did the dealer send you a link to fill out a credit application online? This whole thing is not making much sense to me.
Dealership has no right to do that. If it is, that would be a fraudulent charge. Something seems off. If there weren’t any contract from MBFS, the dealership didn’t even validate the contract. I don’t think you are telling the entire story here.
I have contacted the broker. He is supposedly calling me tonight.
I am 100% telling the entire story. Please feel free to call me and I can walk you through over the phone. There is nothing I have purposefully left out of left out materially.
Sorry, there are a lot of different responses here. What would be fraud?
Post the contract and the paperwork. There will be documents about the credit pull and scoring used.
Ok I will need to photo copy it. I do not have an electronic copy.
Can you take a photo (without any identifiable information)? Can you confirm whether you ever filled out a credit application, whether online or at the dealership?
Yes I filled in the credit application online.
Yes I will photocopy without any identifying information and post here.
So what credit score came back for your dad?
EDIT: Feel free to remove your phone number. You can always DM folks.
650 for my dad (from my understanding ) ~730 for me. My dad has historically had bad credit. But they said it wouldn’t be an issue given MSDs and my credit.
