I like my leases to be fully covered by the warranty. And I have a short attention span with cars.

does this apply to specifically for mx-5 gt only?

what about the regular sport model thats 5k cheaper ?

It applies to all MX-5 but it will be hard to find any sport around.

Actually I didn’t do as bad as I thought. Forgot about the $957 in rebates (probably flex certificates of some kind) covering the drive-off. So I “only” left about $1,000 on the table, if we assume PhatChoi and spamdavy’s deals are the floor. Live and learn.

There are literally no new 2018 Sports left. Club and GT have the same MFs (.00001 for 24 months, .00014 for 36 months). Club has slightly lower residuals than GT, but has $300 lease cash in addition to the $4,000 customer cash. No lease cash on GT.

Just got some numbers for myself.

2018 club MSRP 30xxx
Costco -2500
Mazda -4000
Selling at $23xxx
Res 48%
15k/36 $350 and $350 drive off.
Trying to get them to $300.
Wish me luck.

I think $300 should be achievable for 36/15 on a base club. Make sure they’re using the .00014 MF and $300 lease cash.

Dis you do costco???

Didn’t know if it was available to be used!

The manual tranny is worth at least 2k more👍

I have a lead on a black GT manual $31xxx msrp for $299 a month with 1st months payment due and ttyl rolled into it 24/10k. Chose to pass because I have my heart on an RF. PM for details

Also does anyone have RV/MF for RF Club/GT on 24/10 or 24/12 TIA

Hey friends,

First off thanks to all for the wealth of info on this site, and this thread particularly. Just picked up a GT in SoCal for the following:

MSRP: $31,285
Selling Price: $28,250
Monthly Payment: $286.04
Cash Due at Signing: $1,140.82 (first month, tax, title, license)
Incentives: $4,000 customer cash rebate

Months: 24
Annual Mileage: 12,000
MF: 0.00001
Residual: 59%:

Here’s a link to the deal in the calculator.

I’m pretty stoked on the deal, but it wouldn’t be Leasehackr if I didn’t post it here for critique/feedback. Conventional wisdom would say to roll everything, but I had a credit card that I needed to meet the minimum spend on so I paid drive offs at signing. So it is. Regardless, appreciate ya’ll!

I have never leased a car before but running the numbers using the $8k off msrp you listed I get a crazy low monthly payment ($226): leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Mazda&msrp=31385&sales_price=24385&months=36&mf=.0.00001&dp=0&doc_fee=80&acq_fee=595&taxed_inc=0&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=58&reg_fee=400&sales_tax=9&memo=&zero_driveoff=true&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles=15000&msd=0

I must be inputting some numbers incorrectly no?

Your residual was set for a 24 month lease. I updated that and the MSRP/sales price to reflect $8k off. Monthly including tax is $318: leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Mazda&msrp=32400&sales_price=24400&months=24&mf=.00001&dp=0&doc_fee=80&acq_fee=595&taxed_inc=0&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=58&reg_fee=400&sales_tax=9&memo=&zero_driveoff=true&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles=15000&msd=0

Welcome to the club, would love to see more hackers get some more mx-5s. It’s a great car!

I see, what would the residual be if I chose 36 months instead?

see posts above for NorCal numbers. Check Edmunds forums if you live in a different area.

Sorry to bring up an old post but I picked up the smoking $8k off msrp deal from Ira at Maita Mazda (worth the flight from LA).

Ended up doing 36/15k with a base payment of $260 before taxes and $0 drive offs (1st month included). Great dealership and thank you for highlighting the deal!!
