Just verbally finalized the deal and getting ready to submit the credit app. For anyone who’s still following along or interested, on top of remote start and free maintenance I was able to add in all-weather floor mats, get a true $0 sign-and-drive, and keep the payment at $355/mo. I asked for them to include snow tires and mounting in the deal without increasing cost, but the best he could do was say he would get me in touch with the service department to get me snow tires at their cost.
Overall, I’m pretty happy. If my calculations are correct, it should be a pre-rebate, pre-rollover sale price of $23,140 or 13% off of MSRP. I’m not too concerned with whether there’s $1000 of manufacturer rebate in that discount. I contacted six Mazda dealerships within 300 miles (including a few near NYC) and this is the only one that would match the original deal that I posted which leads me to believe that it’s a pretty aggressive deal. Especially considering that I was able to get a few extras included.
The net result of all of this is that I’ll save myself about $100 per month, and have a car that I can use again. I’ll post the final numbers once I get them.
