In koh phi phi now. Just took boat over from Phuket as we flew into here and stayed a few nights. Def glad to leave that area although there was a lot to do.

It’s about 94 here when the suns out. Not too bad just feels like Florida in august.

We rented a boat and sailed to Phi Phi and a few other islands last weekend to scuba/snorkel. Much cooler in the water. Andaman sea is a marvel.

We drove into Krabi from Hanoi via Laos and Myanmar (war zone, armed checkpoints ā€˜no cameras, cash permits’ good times). Our rented GWM Haval H6 didn’t complain once in 8900 km at ~9L/100 and 90° average temps climbing mountain passes.

Do you suggest Vietnam? I need to figure out another trip from Bangkok. Was thinking about Cambodia to see Angkor wat

Some areas of Vietnam are more interesting than others. I preferred coastal because beaches. I plan to visit Cambodia, Laos later in the year, didn’t have logistics for both this trip. I’m assuming you’ve now flown out HKT to BKK. So there’s a ton to see and do in Bangkok. Wat Arun temple and Royal Palace are worth an extended look. Water taxis are fun and quicker than regular taxis. There’s a hidden gem about 2 hours by car from BKK near Pattaya. Thai Royal Fleet. Spectacular location with US and Chinese old decommissioned ships still in use by Thai RF. If you’re with a local Thai ā€˜no foreigners’, you can drive in, park, get a tour of the dock and stay overnight in one of the waterfront bungalows. Legit fun place and no tourist crowds

We actually flew from Doha straight to Phuket. But heading to bkk after we leave the southern beaches bc I do want to see Bangkok and ayyuthai. After that I really have no plans for the next 10-14 days. Flights to Cambodia are super cheap so I should go to Angkor wat for sure but wouldn’t stay in Cambodia long so need another trip. Potentially Singapore or Bali

Had this drive us around today it’s pretty dope for a Mitsubishi

Doha was an interesting visit back in December 2023, flew from Singapore for the FIFA Word Cup final between Argentina and France. Of course, if you can, do Cambodia, I bet it’s a similar experience to Thai but much cheaper compared to inflated tourist prices on Phuket. Singapore is pricey but worth a 7 hour hop from BKK if you have the time. Different world from So East Asia. Immaculately clean, hi tech, yet not congested like Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok. Get a room at MBS and checkout their rooftop pool with views of entire country. Ironically, it’s a US company owned hotel. Photo from January last year.

PS. Mitsubishi (and Pajero) is popular in Thailand, they have a huge manufacturing facility 2 hours outside of Bangkok in Chonburi province, not far from the coast and Royal Fleet, right next to Ford Thailand. Both supply most of Asia with trucks, most of which we don’t get Stateside. Toyota is currently a runaway sales leader in Thailand. Hilux and Fortuner along with Isuzu High Lander pick up truck are used by Police and are everywhere.

So the 1958 model with MSDS will be around 575? Including tax, tag, fees?

Is this still available? We’re in Central Texas. How do I get more of the finer details and how would shipping work? I’d like to get more details.

Texas a bit higher bc of your taxes. Prob 600ish with msds

Hey Jim, it would be a good idea if you published on Leasehackr the options that you have available at the moment and prices/leases -I for one have been waiting for the information to make a decision on a truck.

Skip Nam for now, upper 90s, rain in the South East and packed.

Cambodia’s beef will be pricey in the coming months

I can get pretty much anything instock or approx 1 month wait. Since the tariffs inventory has been going super fast so I don’t even bother updating inventory

Eating some $7 lok lak now and it’s fantastic. This country wasn’t even on my radar and we’re staying another week. Heading to the beaches Sunday!
