I received a rebate in 2014. My wife received one in 2018. Are we still eligible for one if we lease a Bolt now? Here is the excerpt from the CA clean vehicle rebate project website; I find the wording confusing because it says the limit is one CVRP rebate, but then what’s the point of the Dec 3, 2019 date if everyone is eligible for just one rebate? And why does it say “two-rebate limit” if there is only one rebate allowed per individual? I admit I am not great at understanding these things.
H. Maximum Rebates per Entity Individual and business applicants are not eligible to receive more than one CVRP rebate either via direct purchase and/or lease as of December 3, 2019. Applicants who have not already met their rebate limit prior to December 3, 2019, will be eligible for one additional rebate. Those who have already met their two-rebate limit will remain ineligible for an additional rebate.
It means all people in the house. Not just husband and wife.
If 4 people live in a house you can (theoretically) get up to 8 rebates. (pre Dec 2019, now it’s 4 after all the Tesla/Bolt people drained it)
But for the purpose of applying for the CVRP and CVAP they ask for Household income, which asks for all sources.
That’s why the word household is important, it means something slightly different.
