Would recommend staying away from Aireloom. Their quality has taken a real nose dive (Kluft as well) and they’re the worst sticklers on their warranty program. 1.5” sunken in or you’re SOL. With some of the model pillow tops you’d have to park a Hummer EV on the mattress to get it to sink in that much. Read reviews on Airleloom and Kluft before you make any decisions.

Who makes the adjustable base? $2k is a lot.

Have you shopped around at other stores that sell high end mattresses?

From my reading, most of Aireloom’s complaints come from their Macy’s line, which is their lowest quality mattress and made just to go after their lower tier customers.

I’ve found there are a some surefire ways to get a warranty claim approved once you have the inspector in your house, so I’m not too worried about that. It’s what the wife wanted, so I didn’t have much choice and I felt the bed was comfortable too, so I just ended up needing the best price, I think I got close to that.

Best mattresses I’ve ever slept on and reasonably priced. Got 1 last year and just did a full refresh for all my bedrooms this month.

I have an Aireloom with the Aireloom pillows. You spend a majority of your life in bed, spend the $ on a good mattress. Every person is different so make sure you go and lay on it before pulling the trigger. I tend to have some back pain and discomfort that is usually aided by laying on my back. Laying on my back on my Aireloom for 10 mins makes any pain disappear. The pillows are great too but I’m noticing about 18 months later they are starting to deterorate. The bed has been rotated every 6 months per Aireloom’s instructions and it feels brand new still. I’d guess this mattress has a good 7-10 years out of it, at least

That’s upsetting. They were the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever used in the store. I’m hopeful for years out of them.

It could also just be that I have a big head. I also sleep more towards the bottom of the pillow rather than the middle. They are super comfortable – the deterioration could just be a skill issue / user error

Big head, improper use, pillow user error

I second that, KLUFT from Bloomingdale’s is an amazing mattress for 5k$.

I don’t know about Bloomingdale’s, but the Airelooms at Macy‘s are supposedly lower quality than elsewhere. It’s a specific lineup for Macy’s.

What are those please? Because I’m currently dealing with an issue with Aireloom and getting absolutely nowhere since once you get out of the bed the pillowtop springs back up and then doesn’t measure the dip to 1.5”

Check the kluft reviews and check the BBB.

Are there Kluft’s that cheap at Bloomingdales that aren’t the 100% latex mattresses?

Yes that’s correct.

Something else to mention in regards to the bed and adjustable base - double check the height of the mattress and pillow/plush top config. If its too tall or the cushioning is too thick you end up creating something of a roll-bar in your lower back if the bed is adjusted upwards significantly.

IN metro NY we bought a Charles Rogers and were totally happy. Service, price, quality and selection were all great.

Check their Royal Sovereign collection. We have Magrave model which is definitely not 100% latex but it out of stock now. Also, we were able to negotiate extra 10% off in person and got additional 500$ in points on their credit card. Deal breakdown:

MSRP ~10k$ for king size

Selling price 5.5k$

Rebate 550$

Post sale rebate 500$

Extra taxes 6%, free white glove delivery and disposal of old one.

Yeah if you can snag a good deal on a clearance model you can make out like a bandit, assuming its the right fit and what you’re looking for. Nice work on the extra 10%. The trouble is they rotate the mattresses in and out constantly and basically just change the names or the stitching designs to make it difficult to track over time.

Sleeplikethedead.com is good for research

I got this for my sons room for $500 and I like it way better then my tempurpedic.

The online companies are great tho with their free returns and trials. I tried a few however and weren’t my style. I do have a sciatica issue so I like firm. The only bed I absolutely loved was in the marina bay sands in Singapore. I looked it up it was 20k :joy:

Mattress stores that haggle seem like a prime example of fake sticker prices that nobody pays and a big discount that serve a placebo effect

Just curious what was that?

Might be, but we’re overall happy with the purchase process and mattress itself. Actually it was built to order right after a purchase if date stamp on a sticker is correct as we were waiting 2 weeks for delivery.

Agree.

Through 2 rounds of tedious negotiations, we dropped like 30% of the price. Like getting quoted $100k for an X7 and 4 days later it’s $70k
