Maintenance over lease term

What’s the policy with maintenance on a lease? Do you have to follow the recommended schedule? Does it need to be conducted at the dealership?

Doesn’t need to be done at dealership. You should for the most part follow the schedule but it is unlikely to be checked at the end.

Does not have to be done at dealer. Technically, yes, should go by the vehicle recommend schedule. But many can get by with just oil changes and tire rotations (vehicle dependent).

Thanks guys that’s pretty much what I was thinking too

The first 2 years or 25,000 miles is a freeby from my dealer on my new Tacoma. The prior 2 leases were GM, and the first 2 oil, filter changes/tire rotation was on the house.
