The fact that this is spot on (and economics are complicated) does keep the same 3 or 4 wannabe, serial posting and lecturing “know it alls” on LHer out of these types of threads. Thankfully, they stay away because they know that their “Automotive News” level of knowledge of the world won’t save them in the deep end of the pool where swimmies and lifeguards are not allowed.
