They’re passing $7500 on Taycans now, so that tells me we’ll get it on the Macan when the lots are full and they’re collecting dust in year.
Hasn’t been a problem on the Taycan in Chicago.
They pass on the $7500 for the Panamera and Cayenne Hybrids as well. Also I don’t think they are going to be building a ton of EV Macans initially. I have just as many 911 allocations available than EV Macans.
EU market will likely get priority for Macan EV production, since the gas powered Macan can’t be sold anymore due to some new EU cyber security law that passed.
They will have to get some lease program going eventually. Taycan owners have watched their values drop nearly 50% after 3 years. Leasing is the only way.
Can’t seem to config one below $92k, even skipping options.
If you want to see the worst configurator imaginable, try this one. Good luck trying to customize the rims.
I drove a Macan EV (4S) a couple of weekends ago.
I was shocked by how much fun it wasn’t.
While we’re on the subject, I have one in the garage at the moment, as a loaner for my Taycan. I loved it at first, but after 2 weeks, I’m starting to prefer my i4 + Macan ICE combination… especially considering that the total of both payments still undercuts that of a single Macan 4 EV. Will revisit when payments get lower.

Had a Macan EV pull into the spot next to me at the local EA charger. Asked the owner how they liked it, and the immediate response was “it’s not as fast as it looks.” Poor guy was probably tired of falling behind junker Model 3s.
I was unusually amused by the Blindspot monitoring and the tracer LED lighting along the door as another vehicle passes on that side. The 600 hp in the macan EV turbo wasn’t as amusing or nearly as enjoyable as the Taycan Turbo (PASM is a must).
Poor guy thought it looks fast
He should go back to a ICE Macan so he still gets dusted, but his car sounds cooler.
C&D think we’re nuts

I drove a 4S so it’s possible that the Turbo would make my thighs sweat.
Not likely.

Possible.
It was $130,760 as tested. I would certainly hope adding $40K to the base MSRP makes it better.
I drove the Turbo - it was a suitable machine but it did not give me any feelings when I drove it to all of its limits in speed and handling and sliding on polished concrete, certainly not the kind of feelings Ferdinand felt when he was a good boy for the fatherland.
I had more fun this past Monday racing an m228, and that is a handsome little gocart in short-pants
The m340 is much more fun on polished concrete.
I did a street and track drive for both the Macan 4 and Turbo before it was launched and I was impressed. For an EV, it is incredibly well balanced. Then we drove a Macan GTS and that is on another level in terms of handling.
I drove them back-to-back at the PEC expecting to walk away and buy a Macan EV - it was nice enough but I was underwhelmed especially after the Taycan EV (whose roof sadly doesn’t open).
