Just got offered a m340i with a a msrp in the mid 68k’s for 800 a month with 3000 DAS. its rwd and very well optioned. Should i get an x drive instead? non in my area and no broker has found an xdrive thats aswell optioned as the rwd and close to the price

Hydroplaned a couple weeks ago going 50mph on the highway during heavy downpour. car was totaled, i dont want to risk it again.
AWD would not create physical grip where there is none in a hydroplaning situation.
I can’t speak to this model / engine but I had an M550 (AWD) and a 750i (RWD) at the same time, and from a stop the lower-powered RWD 7 had more power than just two rear tires could handle.
For my main use case (local errand running) I wouldn’t combine high power with RWD, because RWD diluted the limited opportunities for exhilaration, and I went through rear tires like a beaver chewing on a pencil.
