Lucid Air Superthread

I wouldn’t chance it but depends on the deal

what month payment is considered a good deal right now?

From what I gather, the promo is for “Earth Day”, which makes sense for an all electric company…but who knows.

I hear that the service problems are depot specific…some depots are horrible, some are great. But I don’t KNOW that yet. I have to figure out if I want to risk it for a Lucid, or just go Polestar 4.

Returned mine last month after 2 years. Was super happy all along. Apart from getting used to driving a low clearance vehicle and the large blind spot from the pillars, it was quite an enjoyable experience. Somehow, this ownership convinced me software updates may not be that relevant if the vehicle and software are pretty stable overall. After the android auto update, I was almost good with everything. There was one instance where I packed my frunk with too many things and the vehicle somehow sensed that the frunk was not closed when I was on highway at 50mph, and suddenly reduced the speed to 12. It was scary, but that was one rare scenario I was a bit disappointed, but never dared to pack the frunk to full again. If you are buying used for 30 ish or lower 40, that’s a great deal. I have seen some in the lower 30s, and I wouldn’t hesitate. But, extended warranty is mandatory for vehicle like this.

Is there a reason you didn’t get another one when your lease ended? What did you end up with?

Jumping from $350/month payment to a $600+ payment does not make sense.

I am looking to get into SUV. And yea, the payment was too good to pass on the 2023. At this time, only pre owned makes sense financially compared to leasing new. You could upgrade the hardware for $1k and it’s good to go. I was tempted to grab one used, but with family it is more practical to go with an SUV (thinking of iX)

I WISH it was 600 now…what did you move to?

Does Lucid ever do tax credits in Texas?

I have a few cheap leases at home at the moment. Two Equinox EVs and a Charger EV.
Once I have some time on my hand, I’ll try to offload something and then to hack something new.

I have not seen anyone mention it.

Unfortunately they don’t. I didn’t get one when I leased my BMW last year either - those incentives vary by vehicle types and offers for other established manufactures as well.

If anyone is looking for a referral code, mine is still unused this year. H48T7836

Today’s earnings call seems to have mentioned about ‘elevated inventory’, so expect more discounts if they want to clear them out soon.
