Looking for some help on 2021 Volvo XC90 T8 Recharge Lease

I reached out to the two dealers I am working with and plan to better understand the details of their quotes including:

  • what is the pre-incentive discount?
  • what is the MF and RV used in the quotes

This will help me better understand where there is more room but based on my back of envelope calcs, the pre-incentive discount being offered to me right now is 5% which is low based on what other forum members are getting.

You’re not going to get this answer from them. You need to figure it out yourself. That means independently verifying the applicable incentives and subtracting any that have not been itemized from their discount.

It can’t be lower than 6% with a-plan.

Lower discount. Not higher discount
I’d think a dealer must sell at a minimum 6% off (invoice) or more, if he wants to.

oops. Maybe they’re capitalizing an add on or something, reverse of what used to occur.

:chocolate_bar:

Can I just opt out of A Plan and try to negotiate lower or do I need to go to another dealer and just not mention A Plan. Feels like I am stuck and I am not even at 6% . Props to there other forum members who achieved 10% pre-incentive discount.

While that would have been the advice last month, it sounds like they’ve changed policies recently to allow dealers to go deeper even with a plan. That’s how things were up until mid 2018.

You can add a-plan on top of any discount now, like @mllcb42 said. Lucky you - you get a 1% better deal now than last month.

Comes down to my negotiation skillz now. Haven’t negotiated a lease since 2013 using the ridewithg calculator. I’ll let you everyone here know how it turns out. Thanks again for the terrific guidance!

And it is the worst time to start again, but good luck :slightly_smiling_face:

Would 2021 xc90 be at a better price towards end of 2022? L3/4 autonomy and new infotainment based on Google seem to be more than just rumor.

At the end of 2022, a 2021 xc90 won’t be leasable.

Good point. Can someone comment when the cut off is usually?

Seems to usually occur in the early spring of the following year.
