Buy rate MF for tier 1 credit is 0.00177. Dealerships can mark this up (increase the MF) to increase profit. Make sure they are giving you 0.00177 as the MF and then apply MSDs to bring the MF down to 0.00142. It looks like they gave you 0.00162 after MSDs.
If it’s the car you really want, you’re going to have to pay up for it since it’s new. Where are you located/have you reached out to more than one dealership?
Not only are you looking for a new in demand car but you are looking for a pretty “base” model. Yeah it might have 8k in added options but on cars.com it seems like an 81k MSRP x7 is way lower than the average X7 MSRP listed for sale. I would guess these “stripped down” X7s will be popular since BMW doesn’t make many of them (the options make BMW a greater % of profit) and many people like them since it gets you the badge and make at the Lowest possible price.
You also didn’t include tax in your post. Depending where you live that could be a not inconsequential amount of money.
The price is including taxes. I live in Boston.
There are two models for X7- one is 40 I where vase starts with 76k I think and one is 50i where base starts with 92k.
I live in Boston area.
Yep, there are two engine options with a very nice turbocharged VERY and am amazing twin turbo V8
My point was most of the 40i V6s cost more than 81k. For example look at this dealerships inventory. So you are searching for what I imagine is a fairly valuable “base” X7. I know this car is loaded, I use “base” on the loosest possible way.
I don’t think you are doing much better than your deal until inventory picks up. Base money factor might be cancelled out by dealer increasing sales price although you should definitely ask.
Also don’t forget Massachusetts annual 2.5% car tax. Will add couple grand to bill for first year or two.
BMW of Freehold has had the same stock for weeks … and they won’t budge a dime … I don’t get it. They say they are selling like hotcakes - but they now have 14 in stock - most of which were there weeks ago. I think it’s a matter of perception for them.
These numbers look like Audi Porsche Range leases. Pickup an X5 at more reasonable pricing and drive it for 6 mo until the X7 is in line. The X7 msrp you listed will be an 850ish lease in 6-10 mo without MSDs. I dont think the wow factor last longer that that really for any car.
I myself am waiting on the first X7 demos to show up at a 105k+ Msrps and wont touch one for more than 1100ish per mo.
I wonder how they are actually selling. BMW basically created a new class of car here. The X7 starts 20k above the Q7, GLE and XC90 and is basically the same size (couple inches bigger). Sure it’s a little bit nicer in pretty much everyway but that is a lot more expensive. This seems like a car that competes with Porsche more than Audi and Volvo unless they really get aggressive with lease deals.
