Been looking for a Luxury SUV (EV)… having a hard time finding one. Was hoping to look at an iX at the start of the process but looks like they are getting discontinued and dealers arent offering much. The plan was that or Mercedes EQE/EQS. (3 year. 10K miles. Hoping to keep payment around$700.. w/ MSDs or One time lease).
We have a Mercedes GLE 450 (hybrid) and a Tesla Model Y (this is coming at end of lease).
Any suggestions on a) What luxury EV’s are worth getting and looking at or b) is it better to just get a sub 20K mile iX or EQS/EQE post depriciation and move on.
Any suggestions, insights of help would be appreciate.
It may be helpful to share your min/max size requirements. Would a lyriq work? Realize the options you cited are at higher price points, but if you’re flexible, you would stand to save some.
My 24 BMW iX 100k MSRP / $630/mo pre-tax $3k DAS expires in the next 10 months, and I’m starting to look around and see what’s out there. Nothing great as far as I can tell.
Thanks for sharing, will check them out. I’m in the same boat with an iX that expired last month. I did 1 month extension, can do another before needing to do a BMW order for anything longer. Seem to have narrowed it to Lyriq/Optiq, EV9, or EX90 but nothing really exciting me the way the iX did…lease buyout always an option I guess :-/
Shouldn’t that make Gravity hackable - couldn’t you add discounts like studio select to that to bring it down further. Too big for me, but I like them.
And might I add a delight to drive… the new German EV architectures are stellar. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into an EV (from a driving perspective, not a leasehacking perspective).
I have interaced with Lucid. Not much on discount there is some stuff like ifyou do a test drive etc, but really only way to lower is more upfront cash payment.
I leased an Audi A6 etron last summer. I really like it. 2025 models (there is no 2026, only 2027) come with a year of free electrify America charging too.
Yea, totally agree. I’d pounce on a GLC 400 or the CLA. In the tri-state, I’ve very rarely seen any EQ loaners… but I’ve definitely seen them in SoCal and in Florida. Since they’ll be trying to convert EQE/EQS drivers into the new MB.EA we’ll see loaners in those markets primarily.
I just now found out my 8 month old 25 Q6 Audi Etron is a total loss after being rear ended. BLESSED we are fine, seriously, held up like a tank, but now I have a car I LOVE and can’t replace it. UGH. Following for ideas.
