Hi Everyone,
This is my first post on Leasehackr and wanted to get your thoughts on my lease situation. My current lease is expiring at the end of May - it’s a Lexus ES 350. My preference is to lease another Lexus, preferably the NX300 F-Sport or MBZ GLC300. The focus on this post will be on the NX 300. After doing some homework, I got the following information from Edmunds:
-
NX 300 F-Sport
-
36months/12K
-
Preferably only drive off (taxes, fees, title registration) and no MSD’s
-
Excellent credit
-
MSRP on the model I want is $44,608 (from Edmunds)
-
Edmunds Suggested Price $38,443 (pre-rebates)
-
.00020 MF (from Edmunds forum for May and my zip)
-
56% residual (from Edmunds forum for May and my zip)
-
Other rebates is $1,250 lease cash and $1,000 loyalty
When I plug this information into the calculator, I get a monthly post-tax payment of ~$381 a month with a drive off of $1.1K - see link below:
First, I’d like to confirm if I’ve inputted everything properly. I’ve been starting to reach out to dealers to get quotes, they’ve naturally been quoting numbers much higher. Given all the inputs above were from , should it be fairly “easy” to get them to this price. All the inputs are from publicly available sources, so I’d think there’s nothing controversial there. And is there room for improvement?
Lastly, my current Lexus has a scratch on the side bumper (larger than a credit card). Due to the current situation, I’m unable to get AutoVin to inspect my car, so I’d be turning my car in blindly. Can I use that as a bargaining chip for them to waive any damage fees? I was told from a few friends I could, but I figured I’d ask the hackers since you may be more familiar. I live in the SoCal area as well, if that makes a difference.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
