Hello guys,

I know this is a leasing forum, but I have a question about buying a car.
I have a friend that wants to buy a 2018 Lexus NX300. The MSRP is $42500.
She wants to pay cash for the entire purchase. What % discount should she ask for?

5% would be a good starting point. Then date her because she’s able to pay 40k in straight cash.

Start high, why not 10%? What’s the worst that can happen?

Some people have gotten closer to 14% off, so start somewhere there.

We offered 38000 at first and the dealership accepted it. Now we are trying to find a lower priced car and the dealership said they will match the price.
