Lexus MSD use - dealer runaround

Hey all - I’m going in tomorrow to finalize a Lexus lease. The base MF is real good @ 0.0001 (0.24%); however, I’m being told that I can only use MSD’s to buy down further in groups of 5 or 7 and that would buy the normal MF down 80%… that seems counter to everything I’ve read.

Can I go in tomorrow and just buy one MSD to bring the MF down to 0.00002 (read online it was 0.0008 MF reduction per MSD)? Or does it seem like maybe they are not going through Lexus Financial? Thanks!

I don’t know what Lexus’ threshold is, but you probably cannot buy down the MF any lower.

If I’m understanding their explanation, that’s not true. You can do 1 MSD, or 2 MSD if you wanted.
But I don’t think you can buy down their 0.0001 to any lower

No point putting MSD at that rate

Thanks y’all!

Another question came up (unrelated)… if I’m doing a 36mo lease zero out the door, exactly how many follow on payments does the ‘monthly’ payment represent (i.e., is it rolled into 35 or still 36)? Unclear how the ‘zero-down’ calculator works for # of subsequent payments.

Apologies if that was covered in another topic - couldn’t find it!

If it’s really 0 down, then your first payment and all of the other costs are rolled into the price and you have 35 remaining payments.

Real $0 down means you walk out the door and drive the car for a whole month before having to make any sort of payment.

Can you post what lease deal you get? I am working on an RX350 deal for my wife, I’d like to compare numbers to others if possible.

35 payments and no msd on special rate that is that low

Yup - I’ll be posting a new forum under ‘shared deals’ shortly. Just signed.
