leasing a demo and I notice the car has summer tires but the build sheet says it should have all seasons. I really want AS.
can I demand they provide the correct equipment since it’s a lease and I need to return it correctly equipped?
fwiw the ad page showed the car with the all seasons, but service changed them out. Probably when they CPOd it.
Many modern BMW’s, MB’s, Audi’s and so on can be ordered with both summer or all-season’s. Generally speaking all that matters at lease turn-in is that the tire size, weight & speed rating, etc. are up to the car’s required spec, not the specific tread pattern.
So you can “demand” whatever you want but if the dealer just put a brand new set of summers’ on then they might not be willing to budge.
That said, if you’ve agreed to a deal and are otherwise ready to move forward, you might politely reach out to the sales manager and see if there’s anything they can do. Maybe they have another set of all-season’s they can switch out, who knows.
It depends. If it’s on the deal you signed/are finalizing, I wouldn’t push it. It doesn’t hurt to ask but I would accept no and not push further if that’s their answer. You have to know when the deals good or great enough to ignore things like that.

Whats the context? What brand?
Summer tires would also likely be acceptable as long as they are proper OEM specs.
BMW dealers seem to do this on their CPOs by putting summer tires on (guessing they buy them much cheaper). If it’s on the build sheet, it doesn’t hurt to ask.
When I bought my CPO on another brand, they had swapped out the rims and tires, I told them I wouldn’t take the car without the original build because it was better. But again that was a purchase.
The ad showed Goodyear AS, the car had Bridgestone Alenza 001 summers.
The build sheet shows that its supposed to have AS.
If the Alenza’s are proper spec for whatever brand this is, I doubt you have a claim, if it’s a good enough deal it is what it is
