I think most dealers probably already have that sign up haha.
Fortunately, the smart ones realize LH makes up a fraction of the volume, but can be a great way for that dealership to optimize their metrics around sales volume, days supply, average margin, and flooring costs.
If a smart dealer punts some overflow units to the brokers to move metal quickly, they can get juicy allocation or volume spiffs from the manufacturer. I suspect the dealers that keep bitching about LH are the ones that arenât smart enough to use the platform. This industry is full of so many old-heads that are super stubborn in their pursuit to stick it hard to every single customer that enters through the door.
Itâs not like the dealers are moving 100% of their volume through LH. That wouldnât be sustainable either.

We should go to dealers and be like, Iâll take 2 cars. 1 at 25k over for this schmuck and 1 at 25k under for me!

I bet the guy below you in sales still made more money than you
From top tier sales to management is a pay cut.
Mid career management (where I am now) is ABOUT the same as top tier sales
GSM They make significantly more than mid management or top sales (This is what I want)
GM makes boat loads of money they can look to BUY stores eventually (you have to know sales/parts/service to do this)
Rip bargain bin Volvo pricing once youâre in charge.
In charge of Volvo? No I would keep the pricing where it is. If I was promoted in another store, I would make sure that you guys would have someone to fill my shoes. Maybe someone a bit more cheerful!
