You do. But for some of our friends, it’s kinda hard to have cheap insurance when you have a thousand claims and have the driving record of a deaf bat. (Not supposed to be a dig at Hershey but that’s gotta be an issue with some of you lol, the cars are still 100k plus with 100k parts and labor to repair)

Or you live in a city that has seen a major surge in unlicensed and uninsured drivers in the last few years. :eyes:

My insurance is still really cheap, 1600/6m with me as a named driver for 250k+ in cars. Objectively. Lucid Air Pure increases that by about 100/6m, and an EQS AMG decreases that by 200 (go figure).

It honestly has been a perfect storm for insurance costs since 2020.

So eqs AMG. Just don’t forget about your leasehacking challenged friend!

Our MX used to be our cheapest car to insure ironically….

Now it’s the most expensive and about 25% of the note on it. :unamused:

Classic movie. And a reference that sadly only a lucky few now catch.

Sticker price (whether it is inflated or not is another discussion) has nearly nothing to do with insurance premiums. C’mon you know that.

I know what you mean though…it does make us feel like it’s a ā€œgoodā€ deal.

I don’t recognize the movie/reference, but that actor is about 4x that age now lol.

I thought you were part of the younger crowd on here.

Glad I give off ā€œnot almost 50ā€ vibes. My wife knows I’m a child though.

Better off Dead is the film. Eminently quotable and a movie that would not be made today without some social backlash.

facts :100:- not sure what happens when automakers realize the only reason EV are being leased are because of insane monthlies :person_shrugging:

Better off Dead, one of John Cusack’s first major roles where he told the director ā€œI will never trust you as a director ever again, so don’t speak to meā€. As he didn’t like being typecast as a hopeless comedic guy. I quote that movie almost as much as Princess Bride.

Interesting. I’ve never heard of it… I’ll have to watch it sometime.

Yes but objective value; Lucid Air pure with no sunroof, leather, or cooled seats costs more to insure than an EQS AMG which will massage my butt and make me look lamer than I am

That doesn’t matters the only thing that matters is the LH score

Maybe I’m jaded by living in SoCal, but my monthly cost will be about $150-$160 for insurance. I don’t consider that too bad.

Salesman: You would not be a self-indulgent wiener, sir… You’d be a connoisseur.

Memphis: Precisely. Champagne would fall from the heavens. Doors would open. Velvet ropes would part.
