Yeah to be honest, I think we’ll start to see discounts on them soon. not huge discounts but 1-2 percent off soon. At that price point, you can get a Z06 vette.

They’re great cars IMO but I definitely agree. The stickers are getting high enough now… where even the people strictly shopping for the crest are going to shy away.
I’ll take the vette argument to my grave haha. You always see vette people comparing or diminishing Porsche, but you rarely ever see/hear Porsche people talking about the vettes. 
I don’t like vettes, I think they’re stupid cars but I see the argument. But here’s the thing . 99% of car buyers are purchasing for a long time. With basic options, a basic 911 is 150k. The value proposition is simply no longer there. Porsche TCO is still low because of the high resale market. If it ever normalizes Porsche will be in trouble. Compared to the competition, it’s slower and now significantly more expensive. In 2015, a 911 base was 85k, the Corvette was 56k, M3 was 62k, C63 was 73k. Now it’s 130k, 71k, 86k and the c63 isn’t comparable anymore lol.
It’s made the used market so depressing. $80k either gets me a low mileage 20 year old 911 or higher mileage 10 year old 911. Carmax 911s are coming up as the best deals which is crazy.

Definitely out of control. I remember nicely equipped 997 Turbos (not s) had ~140k stickers.

Like many other things, safe to say, covid/crypto mania/everyone on the wagon of “hey look, im rich bitch” have screwed over the pricing for a good time in the future now.
