Cause he’s always outta pocket
Does Porsche require the transfer to be better a better underwrite (FICO, FCF, etc) than the original lessee?
I’m not sure but they’re really slow and are somewhat incompetent. Add a max of 2 transfer applicants per lease, it means that most people are thoroughly vetting transfer applicants before PFS does. It’s not like BMW where it takes a couple of days.
I actually got declined from PFS for a transfer but approved for new car. Very odd.
Yeah, local dealer said they’ll basically offer instant approval on anyone that isn’t a deadbeat for a new ride; but the transfers are next levels of underwriting. It seems like the person taking over the lease has to be a better credit than the original lessee. And it sounds like this “better” qualification is across the entire credit box; not just FICO.
Kind of difficult to find people who are better than every other underwriting metric if they’re already Tier 1. Once someone is massively well off financially, they don’t even want to do a lease; let alone take over a lease.
@li8625 's meme seems accurate.
Explains what that same dealer is sitting on a massively loaded 2025 Taycan where the financing fell through haha. Sometimes instant approval means instant problems.
Not odd at all. Captives exist to move metal. Managers make calls to, you guessed it, move metal.
None of those things are working in your favor on a transfer.
Sad thing is that’s now a $70,000 Chevy. ![]()
Lololol
What’s it have for a motor & transmission? Interior?
As always there is often a great distance between ask and selling price. I wouldn’t pay half for that truck, although it is “nice”
Seller said they have 155k invested. Pretty sure that group usually has good prices so it likely will sell, they don’t allow people to post vehicles over wholesale pricing although it’s hard to define wholesale on classics. Join the group if you’re on FB great spot to see what dealers are paying before they add their markups on used vehicles. Some sell to regular people as well
Yeah, I’m familiar with the group and I agree. It’s still pretty wild money to be paying for that truck… just how some classics are though.
