I had a client turn down a car once on account of it being driven in from port rather than trucked.

This was the norm at the time… :man_shrugging:

That’s weak. Not like it made it a full on fart car.

Leasing.

I get the do not PDI thing and we do our best to communicate that when it’s requested but the drive from port was one of those things we couldn’t control at the time.

Huh, did F&I not adjust the lease start odometer for the slightly higher miles?

The BMW dealership I leased this i4 from tried to get 62 miles for free on my contract. Sneaky.

It wasn’t about the miles.

They just didn’t want a car that was driven by anyone else.

Wait until they find out how many peasants touched the car during manufacturing and transportation.

1%ers didn’t get there by being stupid with money. For the most part. .So yes it makes perfect sense that evil 1%ers will lease a cheap Lyriq.

Meanwhile the superhero working class is financing a Camry at 3X the payment. Because leasing is stupid according to finance “experts” on TV and the internet. Best to pay 7.9% on a car loan instead of 0.7% on a lease. :joy:

And this is why poor people stay poor. They make bad financial decisions. And rich people get richer because they make good decisions.

Did you see the numbers on that Lyriq lease? Nothing “cheap” on that one but the shots on OP about the deal.

Oh was it a bad deal? Then I stand corrected.:rofl:

But in general what I said applies.

LOL, the 1% will not even bother spending their time finding cheap lyriq lease, & the rest of your argument is a stupid stereotype. The people I see driving a camry usually are comfortable middle class, not poor.

I said working class. Tomatoe tomato.
It’s not a stereotype when the average truck car payment is over $1000/mo. The working/middle (whatever you want to call it) class is recklessly spending money on cars/trucks.

There are 1%’ers that got there via silver spoon and others that got there via hard work. One spends much differently than the other generally speaking. The psychology behind spending money that was “given” is completely different.

I remember reading that about 70% of evil rich people are self made. The lazy Beverly Hills layabout trope, does exist. But it’s a minority od the group.

Also 1% is kinda silly to use. That’s $500k a year for a household. It’s a surgeon and an accountant couple,

When people talk about “the 1%” they really mean the 0.1%. That’s the truly evil rich.

Stop moving the goalpost, you are specifically using camry buyers to make your point. I’m not a fan of camry, however, whoever buys them usually are financially prudent. Not the reckless type. Your analogy is simply wrong.

Bros never met a camry buyer that added PPF, all the insurance, and finance products.
