Lease w/ 25k a year

So i’m looking to get a c300, Q50, 335i, es350 etc but I need 25k a year on miles.

From reading this forum, I have picked up a few tricks and would like to see if my assumptions are correct.

assuming a normal leasing rate of 15k miles a year but I need 25k. So i’m short 10k miles a year or 30k over the lease term. Now if I prepay the miles at .10 cent or .15 cents a mile, I am looking at an additional $3000-$4500 respectively over the term or around $83-$125 a month.

Now if I maximize security deposits (10 for Mercedes) that should knock out about half of that? (Mercedes lowers it .00002 per deposit)

Do I have this right?

Are there any financing companies that do not let you prepay miles?
and
are there any financing companies that will give you the unused prepaid miles back to you at lease disposition?

trying to stay under $500 a month with just drive offs down

Thanks in advance!

@blaidrunner putting up MSDs will lower the monthly payment (how much depends on the particular program) but i doubt it will offset most of it because by adding that many extra miles it reduces the residual, probably considerably.

I’ve heard that on a 1-pay lease with Mercedes, if you go with buying extra miles and u don’t use them that you will get some sort of reimbursement. Not sure about the particulars.

Now BMW for example let’s you purchase miles at a reduces price (20 cents/mile) during your lease (if you notice early that you didn’t buy enough) as opposed to 25 cents/miles if you wait until the end of the lease to pay for over milage. Lexus does not, so you will have to inquire depending on the brand.

I don’t even know if most leases even go to 25k mi…I’ve seen 20k mi. Typically the numbers don’t work out well with that many miles.

My bigger concern with Mercedes would be a) maintenance cost and b) warranty coverage. If you drive that many miles you’re looking at 75k mi over a 3 yr lease which will put you out of warranty for a big chunk of your lease and i wouldn’t wanna have to pay for repairs on today’s cars with all the electronics which have a tendency to have issues at some point.

I would consider getting a normal lease, maybe 15k max and buying a cheap communter, like a 2008 civic and drive that a few times a week to offset. Civics are always in demand and you won’t lose much $ if you buy it right.

What lease term are you looking for? I drive 20K+ in a year and end up selling the car at carmax most of times. I would advice on a bmw and leasing it till 45k miles. All maintenance covered till 4 year 50K. The moment you jump 50K the price drops significantly so watch out. Unfortunately when you log so many miles the car starts breaking down. have you thought about buying two? I ended up doing that

buying another car wouldn’t make the most sense to off set miles because to buy more miles isn’t that much, would be the insurance on the 2nd car.

I found out Mercedes is $0.20 a mile to prepay and Nissan is only $0.10 to prepay. I am now thinking a Maxima.

Just waiting for Memorial Day for some hopefully better incentives!

Are you ever upside down when you trade it in to car max? if so how much?

If Mercedes is offering a pull-ahead program, you could call MBFS to extend your lease (which will grant you additional miles), and then return the car early to lease another one. No guarantees they’ll extend your lease, but I’ve done it before.

Actually a few times with Honda and Toyota, Averaged around $1500. Lately all my cars have been Germans and I have been driving them a lot so I just get market price.
