So I’ve got a Chevy bolt that was hit by a pebble on the highway last year, it was repaired by safelite the following week. But it’s still quite obvious even though the repair guy told me it’s safe to drive. My question is, on lease return, will this be a problem? The return guide says cracked glass no more than half inch in diameter. Well the center crack is under half inch, but there are also these little hairline scratches that extend well beyond half inch. I’ll attach a picture. They’re hard to see in the photo , but much more obvious in person. What should I do in this case? Will Chevy accept this without charging me, or would it be best to have my insurance replace the whole thing before turning it in?
Have your lease end inspection done and make your decision from there.

Does your portal give you a cost value like Kia does?
And the inspector is definitely going to find that.
Just schedule your lease end inspection ASAP and see what they say.
The inspector will note the crack and it will either be A) within the allowable limits so no charge, or B) more than the allowable limit and thus a charge of $X.
At that point you can make a decision on whether it makes more financial sense to just pay the charge or fix it yourself via insurance, etc.
