Co-worker told me that I can well exceed my mileage allowance and simply return the car to a dealer about 6 months before the lease is up. For example, let’s say I had a 10k/24, but I already put 20k on at month 18. There would be no mileage penalty as long as I return the car and lease another one?
It depends on the brand. Some have pull-ahead promotions, so if there is a 6 month pull-ahead, it can be possible, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
If there is no pull ahead you are responsible for the remainder of your payments. Smarter to just get 15k per year
