Lease return advice

Returning my 14 Prius but two tires have slow leaks, takes about 7 to 10 days before the tpms sensor is triggered. Question is do I get them repaired or just fill em up and leave it with the dealer?

Probably better to get them repaired for ~$20 than risk getting charged by the bank/adjuster.

Depends on the treadwear. If the treadwear is acceptable, leave it lol

I consider this to be almost the only negative aspect of leasing. You are at the mercy of the unknown inspector that maybe having a great or crappy mood at the moment of inspecting your car.
I would go to Discount tire have them check for where the leaks are coming from and have them fix it if it’s free. Will cost you only your time and give a piece of mind imo.
Just wondering, how long you drove it with that slow leak?

I recently returned my Mazda 3 and my tire pressure warning would be set off every single time the temperature would drop below freezing. When the inspector came to inspect my car, it was around 30 degrees and he noted the tire pressure warning on the paper work which would cost like $40 for further inspection. When I received my final lease bill, I only had to pay my lease return fee. The $40 tire pressure inspection was not included in the final bill.

I have also had a situation when I was turning my lease to lease another Mazda, the car had a slow leak when I went to the dealership. The dealer was nice enough to take care of the leaks and not charge me extra for it. If you plan to lease from Toyota again, the dealer may be able to eat the cost to repair the tire.

Had an extra 30 minutes before my appointment so took it to get patched. $30 was worth not having to deal with the potential for additional headaches.

Only drove on the leak for about a month. Registration expired 04/01 and had some bodywork to be done so sat in driveway til now. Grabbed a Cruze during the big deals in March so was driving that .
