Lease payoff - tax included or not

We have a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Limited. The lease payoff is $26.155 but that includes $1.031in taxes. We have had it just about a year. Carvana, Vroom, Autonation and a local dealer will offer about $25k to purchase.

Question is: if we are in a state that pays monthly tax, are we also responsible for the $1,031 of that 10 day pay off or the payoff minus the $1,031 = $25,124?

We were in here a while back but seem to have lost our log in. TIA for the help!

We will be looking for a $0 DAS mid size SUV to replace this with. We typically do 12-15k miles a year. I really don’t want to roll anything in.

Assume Carvana falls under that category?

When I called dealer they said we needed to satisfy the payoff. I wondered if that included any other fees they may have casually not mentioned. Financial institution is JPMorgan Chase. Any help in what I am looking for on the contract is appreciated.

Like I said, a dealer won’t pay tax, they’ll also call Chase and verify the number.
