Live in TX with TX DL, etc. but own property in NC. Considering a new lease for a vehicle to leave at the NC property. Assuming I received nearly duplicate offers (residuals and MF and DP) would there be significant differences in leasing in NC v TX? TX taxes the entire transaction value so there’s a sales tax consideration, but would everything else be similar? Would I be allowed to lease / register a vehicle in NC with a TX DL? I have NC utility bills and property tax receipts, etc. Thanks,
NC.

Its the insurance policy that matters, not really the DL. Register in NC, especially since you already have all the documentation
3% on monthly or full tax…? Why is this a question. 100% N.C.
How about property taxes?
Still cheaper than full TX taxes, you can dispute most of the taxes.
NC stuck me a bill for $120K on my hummer and i got them down to $65K.
Pretty sure you need an NC license to register a car in NC. Might be wrong though
No you don’t. Usually there’s a waiver for out of state residents but will need an NC insurance policy
Oh nice, didn’t know that. I had to switch to SC to show my house as my primary residence for tax purposes when I moved across the border.
But I did switch to NC when I originally moved there before registering my car. Guess I didn’t realize I didn’t have to!
Thanks everyone for your time and input!
